Brisbane’s biggest and best rainbow festival is back for it’s 20th installment, Sunday 8th March 2020! Featuring musical acts, drag extravaganzas and so much more rainbow love all in support of local LGBTQIA+ charities.

Established in 2000 as a celebration of the LGBTQIA+ community and a way to raise vital funds for charities, Big Gay Day has evolved to one of Brisbane’s biggest street parties. The event now closes down an inner city street to drop in an epic main stage, Big Gay Day brings an incredible line up of local, national & international LGBTQIA+ entertainers to Brisbane. 

Hundreds of acts have graced the Big Gay Day stage, including legends like Courtney Act, Boy George and most recently, The Veronica’s. 

Big Gay Day 2019 saw over 2,800 people through the doors with $40k raised for LGBTQIA+ charities including The Queensland Aids Council, Brisbane Pride and Open Doors Youth Service. The stages were filled with incredible acts like Sheldon Riley, Emily Williams and a drag extravaganza featuring over 30 of Brisbane’s best drag performers!
